Jem and the Holograms – it’s show time Synergy. Candy Floss pink hair. Mr Blobby pink hair. Love Hearts. BIG POPPING PINK BUBBLEGUM. Cute Care Bears. Saved By The Bell. Bayside High – Wayfarers and LA Gear Trainers. The 90′s. Pop, Pop, POP ART. Peter Blake’s Babe Rainbow – and his Kandi. Polly Pocket. Crackle Candy, Screwballs, dyed blue tongue. Ice pops and roller boots. Mr Frosty. Rainbow Sherbet.

An illustration of a princess in that Hans Christian Anderson door-stop size book that you’ve still got somewhere. They were a bit more scary, a bit more fascinating and a bit more beautiful in a chilling way.

Out of context, buried somewhere in the book (actually, a bit like Belle’s book in “Heeeeres where she meets Prince Chaaarming, but she won’t discover that it’s him ’til chapter three”) they just had so much more resonance!! WELL, we’ve found a photographer that captures that very essence.

You may or may not know that Ballad HQ is actually Lindsey and Claires little granny flat, filled with Chintz, vintage tea cups and many many charity shops buys. Ashtrays and gin (or vodka) decanters a’plenty and we wouldn’t change it for the world.

But the day has come where we have to get (gasp) NEW THINGS!! we’re in desperate need for a few key items, bed side tables, a rug, new bedding, cushions, and a few new sofas to put those cushions on.  The search is officially ON.

A few Ballad ‘I Loves’ with a few cheeky green bits and bobs for Claire. (She loves green dontcha know?)
