Ballad Of

John Frazer

Happy Father's Day to all you amazing dads and father figures out there. On Today's Brand New Art We Heart we celebrate the work of Dublin based artist and stay at home dad, John Frazer. Sketching iconic Dublin landmarks in a kaleidoscope of colours, his work is fun, cheerful and will certainly brighten up your day. One of my favourites is his illustration of The Poolbeg Chimney's. John has also recently added to his collection with sketches of the literary greats Dublin city has fathered. The likes of James Joyce and Oscar Wilde.

John has always had a strong creative background from writing plays, novels, even writing and illustrating children's stories. His recent collection of limited edition prints combining traditional pencil sketches with digitally vibrant colours are rapidly gaining attention and putting his name out there. "I have always been drawing, every office job I've had I would end up with a load of sketches of the roofs of nearby buildings. I love cities and the jaunty angles of the buildings against each other."

John's work is stocked in Books on the Green, Sandymount and Fitzgerald's Art & Photography Gallery Geroges Street Arcade, both of which are located in Dublin. Also online here.

If you're out and about in Dublin today make sure you head down to Sandymount Green where John is currently exhibiting his colourful gems of art.
