Cristina Chirila & Stefanie Schneider
by Mia Russell on 23 August 2015
Today's Brand New Art We Heart is the dreamy editorial "The Houseboat" by Cristina Chirila & Stefanie Schneider. Cristina studied Fashion Styling and Art Direction for Fashion at Central St. Martins in London and has been working as a freelance stylist since May 2013 from London and Berlin. Artist Stefanie Schneider is known internationally for her distinctive photography utilising expired Polaroid instant film. Stefanie is also the inspiration behind the making of Impossible film. Cristina fell in love with Stefanie's photography at a gallery in Berlin, where both artists had been exhibiting their work.
The pair hit it off and decided to work together on a project that would be more art rather than fashion. The result is a beautiful editorial with the distinctive trance-like dreamscape appearance characteristic of Stefanie's work. The story was shot on expired Polaroid and Impossible film, on location at a lake outside Berlin were Stefanie has a houseboat and spends the summer weekends.

Now then, thinking of nothing in boisterous silence, between one place, finding the missing, the key to an open door, in a moment of flowing - felt thoughts, moving fast very slowly, remembering the future, being clearly confused, in a state of constant change. ideas of truth, real imagination almost exactly the genuine imitation of a casual purpose. sleeping awake on the bottom of the climax, that is known strangely to be the fullest emptiness of my emotional rationality. by Sascha Schlegel
