Today we’re featuring a selection of beautiful photos by Brooklyn-based artist, Anna Marcell. Using Polaroids and other analogue mediums, she creates gentle dreamscapes that are personal and otherworldly. Anna’s photographs often depict a solitary female character in a state of exploration and reflection. This year her work was part of World Wide Women’s ‘Ritual' exhibition in London. The show featured a collective of female artists aiming to recontextualize the female body through their art. Anna’s work is subtly empowering as it documents personal intimacy in relation to changing landscapes and interior spaces. We’re drawn to her use of unusual colours and soft focus in composing her hazy and mysterious images . Enjoy more of Anna’s work here and here
