These floral beauties are enough to brighten anyones day up right? Created by the wonderful Hannah Smyth these stunning pieces would look amazing on anyones wall…especially Ballad HQ’s hehe!

In our opinion, Frankenstein was one lucky…um monster? I mean check out his wifey! With her amazing, lightening flash hair, her creepy stitches on her face and her stare that could make anyone jump out of their skin, she is just the perfect bit of inspiration for todays Little Book of Horrors post!

We were so intrigued by Amy Abbott’s work we just had to share with you all. They are shocking in their own way, with her simple line sketches, almost childlike, they remind us of Egon Sciele’s wiry characters and of Otto Dix’s disturbing erotic fantasy drawings. They have certainly caused a stir in Ballad HQ with Amy’s style, her subject matter is definitely for adult eyes only. We heart very much.

Loretta Fiore explores the human form in the most beautiful of ways. Her Flickr is full of stunning hazy and film shot nudes and have a calming effect on your eyes.

Self taught and creative genious Maria Caleis is todays illustrator for you all to get your teeth into!! We adore history…and we adore art…so when we stumbled upon Maria and her quirky drawings there was no stopping us putting them online.

You know its a good day when you’re on holiday, this is your view and you find a $1 camera at a flea market and it takes beauuuuutiful photos like this. Could Jennifer Louise’s day get any better?

Rory Cole is blowing us away today with his super fresh and hazy photography, we just loveee film, yes we do!! With a diary feel to his work his life just looks beautifully perfect! You also might have seen the model Chloe before in our print versions of the magazine! We love her too!

Guys and Gals! This is something to get excited about…THE ROKIT SALE! UP TO 50% OFF!! …wheres my credit card?!?!?

Based on a Stephen King novel, Carrie was released in 1976. An American outcast teen girl, finding out she had magical powers which seemed to flare up when she was angry.
Who’s seen Carrie? Everyone? Thought so! I remember watching Carrie when I was a teen (after my Nan’s advice not to) with my cousins, obviously thinking it was tame, and easy watch, not scary at all. WE WERE WRONG!!!
Carrie…the awkward prom teen gone wrong…scary as hell.

Look at what we’ve just been sent. These beauties are by Jay Maude and we adore the hazy evening rooftop shots!

The model is the lovely Jenny Phung, who is a real Ballad HQ belle, (we love the Phung family!!) and was shot for London - based online clothing store Fagged & Frowzy. BE WARNED - it’s an addictive site!!
