BRIGHTON…

By on April 30, 2010

Sheffield to Brighton is a bit of a treck like, we first go back to London for 30 mins and then have to wait to catch another slow train to Brigthon. The air conditioning on all these trains is starting to give us a bit of a cold, not good for Nadine’s voice.
Decide for the 30 mins break we’ll go to Boots and stock up.
On the train Nadine uses a spray to numb the pain on her vocals but apparently we are not quiet enough, the sound of people talking ever so slightly gets the woman next to us in a tantrum, she is clearly hungover and not my fault so I have a giggle about it.
We arrive in Brighton and meet Sam to go to the hotel and drop bags off and so on, decide to walk about to find a restaurant and end up in Jamies, yummy again, we are not getting a chance to eat much so when we can it has to be good. From there we head over to the seafront and walk towards Concorde 2, where she will be playing tonight. Seems like a canny little venue.
Again the crowd is larger here, but still full of smilling people who are excited for the night ahead.
We cant help ourselves but watch the whole set again, and unfortunately its our last night all together.
After a little chat and some goodbyes we head towards a bar to meet some friends who have recently moved down for a catch up. I should be going home for an interview the next day but best have a good night sleep and head early in the morning, having my suitcase with me is normality now. Some of the people we have be-friended from the gig come along with us, again the nicest people, nice to hear their stories and have a laugh.
I set my alarm now, it’ll be an early start tomorrow to London and then have to sort out the piano, lets do this!
