Moving Day!!

By on March 14, 2011

So, we are pretty much collecting all our friends from all over the country and making them move to London!! One of our bestie’s, Thomas, has packed up his old kit bag and made the big and brave move to the big smoke, and in the words of George Henry Powell, this made us Smile Smile Smile.

Reminiscing about our moving day, the packing, the wrapping, getting the clear up quotes, and Transit van-ing it across London, Wood Green to Elephant and Castle, in the snow, was an adventure in itself. To think it was over a year ago, it seems like yesterday we awoke with ‘moving day butterflies’ and post Christmas party heads, for our busy day ahead.

The outfits for moving day were a tad bit special too, we came out of our empty rooms in the exact same, very random, outfit. Faux fur cream coats, sparkly Hareem pants and work men boots. This outfit is now, very rightly so, named ‘Moving Day Outfit’

Take a look at these two old beauties in the same outfit too!! This is probably their ‘Rainy Shopping Day Outfit’ and most likely to be us when we’re that age. (But still in our Faux Fur cream numbers)

The day had already got dark by the time the van was loaded and a sprinkling of snow was starting to fall, when our journey had just begun, and by the time we arrived to Elephant and Castle we were in the need of beans on toast and a bottle of red. Our arms were heavy and so were our eyelids as we tucked into our supper in a brand new shiny and extremely cold flat.

The last few bits from the van were painful and the rolling down the street of our tele was hardwork, we couldn’t wait to get to our brand new beds.
