Party in the local laundrette? Anyone?

Dear everyone,

I am generally rubbish at putting bits onto the Ballad Diary, mainly because I never had a good enough camera (aghast!) and could never think of anything good to put up - you’d have me in bar 1 and now in bar 2, followed by me on couch watching ITV4, and me in the kitchen making tea in the add break of ITV4 - you could super impose my head into every pedestrian part of the day and you have the majority of my life..

So here I am. A new camera and a weird evening out - at last!

Band Real Fur have been doing a UK tour of laundrettes with a finale in East London’s Roman Roads outlet last Saturday, which I attended.

There’s something pretty unforgivable and dickhead-like about this kind of thing, and I’ve been scrubbing the disease from my back ever since I stumbled upon my bed early on Sunday morning and have come to terms with it. And it was fun, and my housemates buddies, Visions Of Trees played….

Above Sara, VoT.

If you don’t know much about this band, check out Kate Parkins interview with them on the music page.

And of course Real Fur played too…

And these charming chaps attended too

and the night ended with a revival of the teenage social life, drinking in the bus shelter outside (oh god).
